VASES

Back

This was one of the first of the pots fired in the Summertown 'Anagama' sometime around 1975-76. It was wood-fired with the actual fuel coming into contact with the pot. The pot was fired in a small saggar close to the fire-box. I exhibited this pot three times and I am now glad no one bought it: it is still in my possession.Photo by Clayton Glen.

This vase, made in 1978, was fired in the Summertown wood-fired Anagama. 22 cms high it was placed in a saggar with actual fuel, in the form of coke, placed around the bottom._I still have this pot. I did exhibit it several times but no one liked it as much as I did. It has, however, been reproduced in several publications.
