GALLERY PLATTERS |
This plate had the actual fuel come into direct contact. I had a kiln that could be fired with both gas and wood, and I made it possible that fuel could be introduced through a side-stoke hole. Sometimes the fuel was dislodged amongst the stacked pots.At times small branches and leaves were deliberately placed inside the pot. |
I learnt a lot from this pot and I am tempted to return to this particular expression. It is stoneware, about 35 to 40 cms in diameter. It is related to the following pot. |
